Learn the Skills Needed to be a Quality Baseball Player

Camp is led by the Edina High School head coach (Tom Nevers) and players.

 

NEW - For players currently in 2nd to 6th grade on May 1, 2023. The season runs 6 weeks from June 5 through July 21, 2023. Registration typically opens early February and closes by May 15 (or when full). The registration fee varies by grade and age, see below.

 

NEW - Players will be put into training pods on Monday and Tuesday for development days. Thursdays will be game day. Pods and teams will be vary each week.

 

NEW - Players will be accessed with grading cards the first week and the final week. The grading cards will measure development indicators that will vary by grade and are the baseline used for the Travel program and EHS tryouts. 

 

  • Day Baseball 2nd grade, currently in 2nd grade at time of registration 
    • Mon/Tue/Thurs, 9am-10am; at Pamela Park
    • Fee $300
    • Mon/Tues will be development days. Thursday will be coach pitched games focused on baseball skills highlighted that week. 

 

  • Day Baseball 3rd/4th grade, currently in 3rd/4th grade at time of registration
    • Mon/Tue, 10am-11am at Pamela Park
    • Wed, 9am-Noon (pick one 50 minute time slot) at NLB 
    • Thurs GAME DAY, 10am-11:15am at Pamela Park
    • Fee $550
    • Mon/Tues will be development days. Wed will be batting cage practice. Thursday will be coach/player pitched games focused on baseball skills highlighted that weekGames will be used as learning time to help prepare players for the Recreation and Travel Baseball programs. 

 

  • Day Baseball 5th/6th grade, currently in 5th/6th grade at time of registration
    • Mon/Tue, 10am-11am at Pamela Park

Equipment

Players will receive a T-shirt and baseball cap. Players are expected to provide their own baseball pants, baseball glove and wear non-metal cleats or sneakers. While not required, players should begin wearing a protective cup. The league provides bats and batting helmets, but players are also welcome to bring their own. Please bring a water bottle and label everything including your player's cap!
