LEGION TRYOUTS: 
Since both Legion tryouts on Sunday, May 4 were well attended, the coaches have decided that the second tryout on May 18 will NOT be necessary.  All three Legion teams will be selected and posted to the EBA website the week of May 19. Reach out to Head Coach Andrew Luedtke if you have any specific questions. 

ABOUT EDINA SENIOR LEGION BASEBALL:
The Edina American Legion Baseball Program is one of the most storied programs in the state. The program holds five state championships (1955, 1969, 1982, 1983, and 2012) and one American Legion World Series Title (1983). The program has spawned the baseball futures of more than 15 former players who have gone on to play professional baseball. In addition, hundreds of former Edina American Legion players have gone to play at the collegiate level.

EDINA LEGION BASEBALL TEAMS: 
There will be three (3) Edina American Legion Baseball teams. 
• American Legion #1 will play in the South Hennepin League. 
• American Legion #2 will play with local communities that have two Legion teams or Tier 1 teams. 
• Junior Legion will play in the Junior division.  All teams will be competing in regular season, tournaments and playoffs. 

Roster Makeup:
• The Legion rosters (Legion #1 and Legion #2) will be made up of 10th-12th graders
• Junior Legion will consist of both 9th-10th graders.

Offseason Workouts: 
• We’ll be re-instituting Legion offseason workouts to provide players a chance to develop starting earlier in the year 
• Targeting select Sunday night workouts in January/February at Nevers-Larkin facility 
• There is no additional cost to participate. Players will need to register and pay through EBA website . That rate will then be deducted from final registration payment in the Spring

Season Makeup:  
• 10-12 regular season games beginning the week of June 9th for Senior Legion and week of June 2nd for Junior Legion
• On average there are 2-3 games per week; there will be scheduled practices on select off days 
• Projected # of games in the season for all teams: 24-30
• Each team will participate in a minimum of two (2) tournaments plus league playoffs. 

Senior #1 Schedule: 
First game: Monday June 9th
Tournament #1 (Omaha): June 19th-22nd
Tournament #2 (Delano): July 3rd-July 6th
Last regular season game: July 16th
Sub States begin: July 22nd

Senior #2 Schedule:
First game: Monday June 2nd
Tournament #1 (Edina): June 13th-15th
Tournament #2 (Omaha): June 19th-22nd
Tournament #3 (Richfield): July 11th-13th
Sub States begin: July 17th

Junior Legion Schedule:
First game: May 30th
Tournament #1 (Maple Grove): May 30th-June 1st
Tournament #2 (Omaha): June 12-15th
Tournament #3 (Sioux Falls): June 27th-25th
Sub States begin: July 22nd
