LEGION TRYOUTS: 
Jr Legion tryouts are September 15, 2025 for the 2026 season. Tryouts are 6-8pm at Courtney Field . 
Senior Legion tryouts are early May 2026.

LEGION 2026 FEES: 
The total registration for Legion in 2026 is $775.  $200 is assessed at the time of registration (and is non-refundable for tryouts), the remaining $500 balance is due May 2026. Winter Workout training starts in January has no additional cost for each athlete, and part of overall registration. 

ABOUT EDINA SENIOR LEGION BASEBALL:
The Edina American Legion Baseball Program is one of the most storied programs in the state. The program holds five state championships (1955, 1969, 1982, 1983, and 2012) and one American Legion World Series Title (1983). The program has spawned the baseball futures of more than 15 former players who have gone on to play professional baseball. In addition, hundreds of former Edina American Legion players have gone to play at the collegiate level.

EDINA LEGION BASEBALL TEAMS: 
There will be three (3) Edina American Legion Baseball teams. 
• American Legion #1 will play in the South Hennepin League. 
• American Legion #2 will play with local communities that have two Legion teams or Tier 1 teams. 
• Junior Legion will play in the Junior division.  All teams will be competing in regular season, tournaments and playoffs. 

Roster Makeup:
• The Legion rosters (Legion #1 and Legion #2) will be made up of 10th-12th graders
• Junior Legion will consist of both 9th-10th graders.

Offseason Workouts: 
• We will be revamping Legion offseason workouts to provide players a chance to develop starting earlier in the year. Stay tuned for more details on winter training options. 

Season Makeup:  
• 10-12 regular season games beginning the week of June 9th for Senior Legion and week of June 2nd for Junior Legion
• On average there are 2-3 games per week; there will be scheduled practices on select off days 
• Projected # of games in the season for all teams: 24-30
• Each team will participate in a minimum of two (2) tournaments plus league playoffs.
